FIELD EDUCATION PROGRAM

At Riverdale World School Mahasamund, our Field Education Program stands in a class of its own. Designed to enrich the academic experience, it offers hundreds of well-planned outings each year across all grade levels—giving students the opportunity to explore the world around them, both within the city and beyond.

“One would be hard-pressed to find another school getting children out into the world as much as Riverdale World School Mahasamund.”

Our program is founded on the belief that education is not merely a matter of ‘telling’ and being told, but an active and constructive process. Field experiences at Riverdale are not an escape from learning—they are learning in action.

Each excursion is intentionally aligned with the school curriculum and directly connected to subjects taught in the classroom. Whether it’s science, social studies, environmental studies, or language learning, every trip makes the lesson more tangible, engaging, and relevant to a child’s life.

Unlike traditional field trips that often follow a “look-and-see” model, our approach encourages active participation and deeper understanding. Students don’t just visit places—they interact with people, ask questions, observe real-world systems, and reflect on their experiences.

For example:

  • A visit to the railway or bus station teaches young students about public transport systems.

  • Trips to farms or irrigation sites help them understand water management and agriculture.

  • Educational visits to power plants or energy stations explain the fundamentals of power generation—all conducted under the careful supervision of trained teachers.

This immersive style of learning is what sets Riverdale apart and has helped earn our place among the top CBSE schools in Chhattisgarh. Through our Field Education Program, we open doors to real-world knowledge, helping students connect classroom theory with everyday life—an experience that stays with them far beyond the school years.
